Role Summary:
The
Merchandising/Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives to effectively promote the company's products and services to customers and prospects.
Main Responsibilities:
Marketing:
• Develops advertising and marketing tools including above the line and below the line materials based on the management marketing strategy and sales target and presents to the Head of Business Unit for review and approval.
• Coordinates with the company business partners such as advertising agency, media buying unit, production and printing houses.
• Works on customer relations tools such as loyalty program, comments cards, database, direct mailing, etc.
• Communicates with other departments (commercial department, operations, production and finance) and
Spinneys stores to ensure proper implementation of promotions, branding, campaigns, launches, and events.
• Conducts daily media monitoring, develop competitive reports and analysis and presents recommendations to Head of Business Unit.
• Organizes and supervises occasional events in addition to other related public relations jobs.
Merchandising:
• Supervises new items’ listing and positioning on the shelves; monitor items’ deletion process.
• Executes all suppliers’ deals in terms of merchandising and space share. Check if dual merchandising process is in place.
• Makes sure that all imported / private label are merchandised according to their respective criteria set.
• Completes all merchandising moves required in the stores.
• Completes space vs. sales study leading up to the contract negotiation while conducting a full range review.
• Audits all merchandising shop floor standards and procedure.
